RSVP today to join Teaching Matters Chairman's Council and Dr. Samantha Boardman in conversation with Jennie Wallace on April 11, 2024.

About Teaching Matters Chairman's Council: Chairman’s Council members are Teaching Matters most dedicated partners, committed to supporting our mission of closing the opportunity gap of a radically unequal education system for under-served and historically marginalized children.

Through volunteering, visiting partner schools and attending insightful and relevant special events, our members are provided opportunities to develop a deep understanding of the many challenges - and triumphs - seen by public school learners and teachers in New York City - the nation's largest and most complex school district.

About Dr. Samantha Boardman: Samantha Boardman is a Clinical Instructor in Psychiatry and Assistant Attending Psychiatrist at Weill-Cornell Medical College. She has a BA from Harvard University, an MD from Cornell University Medical College and a Masters Degree in Applied Positive Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. She is the author of Everyday Vitality: Turning Stress Into Strength.

About Jennie Wallace: Jennifer Wallace is an award-winning journalist and author of the New York Times bestselling book Never Enough: When Achievement Pressure Becomes Toxic – and What We Can Do About It. She is a contributor to The Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post and appears on national television to discuss her articles and relevant topics in the news. After graduating from Harvard College, Wallace began her journalism career at CBS “60 Minutes,” where she was part of a team that won The Robert F. Kennedy Awards for Excellence in Journalism. She is a Journalism Fellow at The Center for Parent and Teen Communication at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Jennifer serves on the board of the Coalition for the Homeless in New York City, where she lives with her husband and their three children.
