Teaching Matters is dedicated to increasing teacher effectiveness and closing the opportunity gap of a radically unequal education system. Growing up in a modest, middle-class family in India, I was raised with the unshakable belief that education is the most powerful path to progress, equality, and creating a better world—one that uplifts everyone.
The vision and purpose of Teaching Matters deeply resonates with my values, and I'm thrilled to be making my miles meaningful and supporting local public-school students as I complete 26.2 miles through New York City on November 2nd while running the TCS NYC Marathon 2025.
