Excellent education is for all

Hello,

This November, I'm running the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon on behalf of Teaching Matters, a nonprofit that partners with schools and districts to increase teacher effectiveness and close the opportunity gap of a radically unequal education system.

Over and over, studies show that excellent teaching is the single most important school-related factor for student success. Teaching Matters provides educators the tools and support they need to deepen their expertise of instructional content and strengthen teacher practice, thereby increasing outcomes for all students from Pre-K to high school.

Teaching Matters offers programs in literacy and math that are built upon proven, scientific, data-driven methods. A few examples of their results include:

• 83% of students who participate in their Foundational Literacy Matters program progress from "pre-readers" to "readers" in just 10 weeks
• 70% of students who receive their Math Matters program meet their annual growth goal

Give today.

Giving online is easy and fast, and your support will make a real difference. I appreciate your help!

Hi [Donor Name],

Thank you so much for your generous donation to my fundraising efforts for Teaching Matters.

Because of you, we're creating a nation where every student has equitable access to excellent teaching, regardless of zip code. Thank you for not only helping me to reach my fundraising goal, but for making a real difference for teachers and students.

This is such a worthy cause and I'm proud that we're on the same team.

I'll keep you posted on our progress. In the meantime, I recommend that you check our Teaching Matters at www.teachingmatters.org. They're doing great work.

Thanks again for your donation!
