This November, I’m running the New York City Marathon — my second marathon, but in my favorite city! — to support Teaching Matters, an organization dedicated to ensuring every student has access to excellent teaching.
As a lifelong educator and school leader, I’ve seen firsthand how a single teacher can change the entire trajectory of a child’s life. I’ve worked alongside incredible educators who pour everything into their classrooms — often without enough support, resources, or recognition. Teaching Matters helps bridge that gap by giving teachers the tools, coaching, and confidence to reach every student — especially those in underserved communities.
Every mile I run will be for the teachers who work countless hours to achieve amazing results and for the students who deserve someone who believes in them.
I’d be so grateful for your support — every donation, no matter the size, helps strengthen the impact of great teaching. Thank you for cheering me (and our teachers!) on as I take on 26.2 miles for a cause I deeply believe in.
